Beatrix Potter's Davenport
The Davenport was certainly used by her and as we understand, it was given to her by her father and it has been kept in perfect condition. A really useful and space saving piece to carry out any writing or office work needed. Although Hilltop is a small place there is plenty of room for writing space and in fact she did most of her writing at another bureau in another room but this piece held personal sentimental value for her.
Just the sort of functional piece we look for here on The Great British Woodshop, a piece that has translated through time and that is still of use in today’s modern lifestyle.
