Presenter and Executive Producer- DAVID FREE

David’s professional background is quite varied. After many years performing as an amateur and professional ice skater, he became an ice dance coach teaching at the International Ice Dance Academy in the UK. With a telecommunications degree David for many years was a business consultant to many UK and American blue chip organisations. As an international public speaker helping to launch many startup companies his love of presenting lead him to form Fastdraw Productions in 2002. Fastdraw is an independent TV production company and are the creators of The Great British Woodshop. David is passionate about everything he does and one thing he has been doing for almost as long as he can remember is designing and building furniture. David grew up in Australia and his interest in woodworking began at school. Since then, he has continued to hone his skills over the past 25 years and he builds all the pieces you see on The Great British Woodshop, everything from the selection of the wood to the finish being applied. In 2004 he founded Picture House Cabinets and patented a revolutionary new design in home cinema furniture which conceals a Plasma or LCD TV inside a fully working fireplace and is raised to viewing height by remote control. Nothing brings him greater pleasure than to share his enthusiasm and skills for furniture making with others who love woodworking.
